After eight years of experience working in the restaurant industry as a chef, I became frustrated with the bureaucracy of the industry and decided to venture out on my own. In order to make Simply Fresh a reality I sought out the expertise of many skilled visionaries who I have worked with over the years. These are chefs, food consultants, restaurant managers, directors of charitable organizations, and local organic produce suppliers. Simply Fresh gives me the flexibility to manage my responsibilities as a single parent and still dedicate much of my time to my passion, which is cooking.
My style of cooking is influenced by the many culinary traditions which I have been exposed to. From the rich heritage of my nomadic Somali ancestors to the simplicity and diversity of regional cuisines of Italy where I grew up Simply Fresh allows me to create healthy organic meals full of flavor. For me, the choice to go organic is a personal one - I decided to enhance my child's life by gradually introducing to him healthy meals free of additives, pesticides and antibiotics that are not genetically modified. I look forward to sharing my vision with you and the ones you love.
